About Us

Formed in 2020, the Kenya Cattle Feeders Association (KCFA) is a farmer-focused organization, built on three core pillars:

KCFA members are leaders and innovators, creating and adopting best practices in cattle feeding to address core issues and challenges. We communicate and collaborate with regulators and our communities to make cattle feeding a viable and positive contributor to the Kenyan economy and environment.

KCFA offers several annual membership levels to encourage cattle farmers as well as the organization's partners to collaborate with us in our advocacy of the cattle feeding industry in Kenya. All requests for membership are made by filling the membership form online or manually and submitting it to the KCFA office for approval and approval by our Board of Directors.

Services & Member Benefits

KCFA members are eligible to receive the following services and member benefits

  • Free livestock check-ups, vaccination programs, livestock dip spraying program, subsidized pasture hay grass and animal unga feeds for members.
  • Free KCFA livestock Tagging program for up to 50 registered animals of choice
  • Enjoy draught relief voucher program with (6) months guarantee free insurance cover for any registered animal.
  • Free access to feeding hay grass and livestock drinking water for any member selling livestock at any KCFA designated market branded designated zone.
  • Free entry fee to the main arena dais to all (ASK) Agricultural Society of Kenya animal livestock shows in Nairobi, Nakuru, Nanyuki and Mombasa.
  • Free travel and accommodation expenses paid for to any three lucky life members of KCFA to attend any international animal cattle feeders’ association show abroad.

How to become a KCFA member

Anybody living in Kenya and is above 18 years of age and involved in cattle production can be a KCFA member. They may range from cow-calf production to feedlot subjects. They can as well be organizations or businesses supporting KCFA in different areas and they include abattoirs, feed suppliers, and those that recognize the economic value of cattle production to their communities.

The membership term will be from January to December, whereby members will be required to renew their annual membership.

KCFA members are required to pay a registration fee of Ksh.500 in addition to a yearly subscription of Ksh.1000. These funds will be used for the efficient running of the association activities to benefit the membership.
